GOVERNMENT GRANTS AND LOANS
Canadian businesses, non-profit organizations, or charities who have seen a drop in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of their commercial rent or property expenses, starting on September 27, 2020, until June 2021. (Note this has been extended, the proposed end date is now September 2021)
This subsidy will provide payments directly to qualifying renters and property owners, without requiring the participation of landlords.
Organizations may make claims retroactively to September 27, 2020
Organizations temporarily shut down by a mandatory public health order, or have activities significantly restricted for a week or longer due to a related public health order, may be eligible for the Lockdown Support, which provides a top-up rent subsidy of 25%, in addition to the 65% subsidy
As a Canadian employer who has seen a drop in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of your employee wages.
This subsidy will enable you to re-hire workers, help prevent further job losses, and ease your business back into normal operations.
Businesses heavily impacted by COVID-19 can access guaranteed, low-interest loans of $25,000 to $1 million to cover operational cash flow needs.
These loans are for small and medium-sized businesses that have seen their revenues decrease by 50% or more as a result of COVID-19.
The Government of Canada has mandated BDC to provide a guarantee to your financial institution for 100% of the value of a new term loan, to increase your company’s ability to access new credit.
Benefit from a 4% interest rate and a repayment term of up to 10 years.
Up to a 12-month postponement of principal payments at the start of the loan.
The HASCAP Guarantee is available until December 31, 2021 (extended).
